I hope shortly to be in a position to

report the steps that have been taken in connection with your

23014 Despatch No. 300 of the 12th. of September last and also to

forward copies of the new code mentioned.

With regard to the remarks in the last

paragraph of the report, I may observe that it has been my endeavour to accelerate the production of their reports by Heads of Departments and if one result is to exclude some of

the lengthy tables usually accompanying those documents,

am inclined to think that an added advantage.
